Experience
The entry at the station is another ‘front door’ to the town.

The station plaza is an attractive gathering point and a pick-up zone. There is ample shaded parking for cars and bicycles. Signage that indicates the township and other nearby facilities helps visitors find their way around. As a major arrival point trees and plants at the plaza and the street leading into town signal a sense of the aesthetics of both the wider Kerang environment and of the town itself.

This welcoming area creates links between the station and the facilities nearby for community meetings – senior citizens and youth groups. The unique shade structure, and seating provides a safe and welcoming place to wait or meet.

Walking down Scoresby Road, into town, visitors welcome the wide and well-maintained footpath. Cyclists enjoy the shade that the street tree plantings provide. The eye is drawn to a sculptural form in the distance, indicating the town centre.

The sculptural marker, a Light Box, adds cultural interest and encourages walking from town.
